The latter might be of the same Dower as the

English station; though an increase in the

power of the Indian station was less necessary,. seeing that, on account of atmospherics being less prevalent in gland, communication from India to England was easier than communication

in the reverse direction. Hr. Brown gave a description of the erican station at Long Island, the power of which had, he said, been

greatly exaggerated. If the new English station were extendeu ss suested, it should have a

considerably greater range than the Long Island station.
